The Touch UI Design

For the Subaru engagement project, we engineered an immersive touch-experience tailored for the high-traffic environment of a live automotive exhibition. Our objective was to translate Subaru’s rugged engineering into a tactile digital journey that allows users to explore the technical grit of the Outback and Forester. By prioritizing a clean, expansive layout, we enabled attendees to navigate through complex trim levels and off-road capabilities with a sense of intuitive discovery. The resulting interface transforms passive observation into an active dialogue between the brand’s utility and the consumer's digital expectations.

The Logic-Driven Workflow

The foundation of this multi-vehicle platform was architected within Sketch, utilizing a modular design system to maintain absolute brand consistency across diverse screen states. Our team developed a high-fidelity visual framework that prioritizes "Pristine Form" while delivering massive amounts of technical data through a scannable, tabular UI. By integrating high-resolution 3D CGI automotive assets into a lightweight interactive engine, we ensured the vehicles remained the focal point of every interaction. This logic-driven approach allowed for rapid deployment across various hardware configurations, ensuring a unified "Zero Noise" experience for every visitor.

The Interaction Hurdles

The primary challenge for ROBUST was designing a lead-capture system that remained functional and inviting within a chaotic, public exhibition space. We had to solve for "Interaction Fatigue" by refining the subscription forms and accessory menus to be completed in seconds, ensuring high conversion rates for the brand. Calibrating the visual contrast for massive showroom displays required a surgical eye to maintain legibility under harsh, overhead convention lighting. Ultimately, we delivered a robust, zero-latency interface that bridged the gap between physical car exploration and digital lead generation, proving that complex data can be beautiful.
